Vacancy Rate by City

Office property vacancy rates in December 2009 in the five central Tokyo wards and Tokyo's 23 wards were 6.6% and 6.5%, respectively. These rates were lower than those in many other large cities nationwide. The vacancy rate for Shibuya Station southwest was 5.1% in December 2009, as indicated in the following chart. It was relatively lower than those in the five central Tokyo wards and Tokyo's 23 wards.
