Number of Passengers Using the Tokyu Rail Network
The number of passengers using the rail lines run by Tokyu Corporation was approximately 1,062 million in the year ended March 31, 2011, which ranked second among the major 16 private railway companies in Japan.Tokyu Corporation's annual growth rate of passengers in the five years ended March 31, 2011 also showed a relatively high rate of 1.31%, while 6 of the 16 private railway companies posted a negative growth rate.The annual growth rate of passengers for the five-year period is calculated based on the comparison of the number of passengers in the first year and the sixth year, and then the difference between them is re-calculated using a compound rate per year.
